Campus Life
Infrastructure | Culture | Arts and Culture Center | Citizenship Education Center | Spirituality at the University | Camargo Guarnieri Young Philharmonic Orchestra
To live and to learn. This is the combination Universidade Metodista de São Paulo seeks to create throughout its campi by means of cultural and citizenship-oriented activities, some of which are part of the syllabus of each course; others done on the initiative of the university in order to generate knowledge in a very enjoyable manner and to offer students, teachers, staff and community members more leisure time.
Apart from customary academic activities, topics such as Human Rights, Culture, Solidarity Economics and Ethics are discussed with the community, on the premisses of the university campi, which offer several amenities: easy access to food court, to library study rooms, to laboratories and to other learning spaces.
Every year, the University helps to place six thousand students in internship, training and steady-job positions. Because of its privileged infrastructrure, part of these positions is filled in the university. Through bulletin boards, undergraduate students find information about internship positions and other extracurricular activities to extend their education.
At weekends, campus life is enhanced by concerts, performed by the Camargo Guarnieri Young Philharmonic Orchestra, open to students, teachers, relatives, staff, and to the community.
