The God which can’t be contained in Himself. Reflections on the Doctrine of Creation and the Theological Anthropology

Abstract

This article brings into prominence important presuppositions for the theological reflection on creation: the conciliation between the Bible and science, the Trinitarian Perspective, the human being as co-participant in the continual creational act of God, the biblical concept of panentheism, the biblical conception that claims the integrality of the human being and the concept of transcendence. It points out relevant themes for the debate on the field of theological anthropology: the one about alterity understood as the base for the Christian faith, sin, evil, human ambiguity, God’s image in the human being, and pleasure and rest as an expression of God’s will.
