Memory Hack Review
por Josephine Josephine Mary (09-03-2019)
All is peaceful until someone, an adult or a child, questions their view of Memory Hack what should be done, how it should be done or when it should be done and our ADHD child doesn't want to do it that way.All goes well until the child's expected to share something, take turns, follow an instruction to either stop doing something or start doing something. In fact it could be pretty much anything that they're expected to do it's just that they don't want to follow that particular instructionIt could be that he doesn't want to write... To avoid having to do so he starts with low level avoidance behaviour and if someone pushes the issue and expects him to write he'll explode into a massive tantrum... But he was perfectly fine until he was expected to write...Alternatively, the child might want to continue to do his drawing rather than do any work Again, off he'll go, throwing his weight around simply because he doesn't want to stop drawing He was well behaved all the while he was doing an activity he enjoyed. Things only went wrong when he realised he might not get his own way and was expected to something he didn't want to doAnother scenario could be that he always wants to be the leader in games... And when someone tells him that this time it's someone else's turn to be games leader... Yes, you're right another tantrum erupts... Guess what though If he'd been allowed to be games leader and been allowed have his own way he'd have been perfectly happy no problem and no tantrumIf he's allowed to travel along this road of getting his own way through bad behaviour the behaviour can pretty quickly become a deep seated habit and needs a determined effort to get back on the right track. However, you don't need to resort to an ADHD diagnosis or drug prescriptions to sort the behaviour out. It's not as if pumping kids full of powerful drugs has had much of an impact on their bad behaviour patterns.A child recently encountered had to have extra drugs before visiting the consultant's ADHD behaviour clinic due to him being so appallingly behaved when attending previously. In school his behaviour, even when full of drugs, had been dreadful, including violent assault, confrontation plus foul and abusive language... He was in a terrible state. He was pumped full of drugs and still displaying totally out of control behaviour. There's a reason old people gather together. First there's that deep human connection that I mentioned, the need for others. Second, without their group their social choices would be down to nothing. Thirdly, and this is the one that matters, is that there's a sense of ownership, accountability, and belonging.
